• Cyramza is used to treat stomach cancer, colorectal cancer, or non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to other parts of the body, and hepatocellular carcinoma. Ramucirumab is a monoclonal antibody that works by targeting and binding with the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2 (VEGFR-2) and blocks the activation of VEGF.

• Cyramza is given as an infusion into a vein through an IV. A healthcare provider will give you this infusion.You may be given medication to prevent certain side effects while you are receiving this medicine.

• Cyramza may worsen certain types of liver disease
• This injection is not recommended for pregnant women as it can harm the unborn baby.
• Do not breast feed while taking this injection.
• Severe high blood pressure has happened with this injection. Your doctor will take your blood pressure at least every two weeks while you are receiving this injection

• Side effects of Cyramza include high blood pressure, diarrhea, headache. 
• Rare but serious side effects include arterial thromboembolic events (blood clots), infusion related reaction, gastrointestinal perforation, impaired wound healing, clinical deterioration in patients with cirrhosis, reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome.
