  • Cisplatin harms cancer cells causing their death. Cistero 50 mg Injection is an anti-cancer medication. It works by damaging the genetic material (DNA and RNA) of the cancer cells which stops their growth and multiplication.

How to take this medicine?
  • As prescribed by doctor.

What are things you need to know before taking this medicine?
  • If you have an allergy to cisplatin or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs.
  • You must undergo hearing test prior to each treatment with cisplatin. Use of Cistero 50 mg Injection is not recommended in patients with severe kidney ans liver disease.

What are the side effects/adverse reactions of this medicines?
  • Chance of getting an infection. Wash hands often. Stay away from people with infections, colds, or flu. Feeling tired or weak. Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. Loose stools (diarrhea). Anemia, low white blood cell count, and low platelet count. Skin irritation. Hair loss. Hair most often grows back when this drug is stopped. May not be able to get pregnant.

  • Paclitero is given as an injection or infusion into the vein (intravenous, IV). It is given over various amounts of times and in various schedules. There is no pill form availabale of this injection.

  • Do not receive any type of vaccination while taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.
  • This injection is not recommended for pregnant women as it can harm the unborn baby.
