How to take this medicine?
- Take Cabometyx on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after you eat anything. Take the medicine with a full glass of water. Use the medicine exactly as directed.
What are things you need to know before taking this medicine?
- Cabometyx may cause a perforation (a hole or tear) within your stomach or intestines. This medicine can also increase your risk of serious bleeding.
- Cabometyx may harm an unborn baby. Use effective birth control to prevent pregnancy while you are using Cabometyx and for at least 4 months after your last dose.
- Avoid contact with people who have recently received live vaccines.
What are the side effects/adverse reactions of this medicines?
- Common side effects of Cabometyx include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, fatigue, weight loss and abnormal liver function tests. This medication may rarely cause serious problems (such as heart attacks, strokes, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism) from blood clots.
