- Hepbest Tablet is used in combination with other medications to treat HIV infection. It is also used to treat long-term HBV infection. It treats HIV infection by blocking the growth of the virus and its ability to infect the other liver cells. It prevents the multiplication of HIV virus and chronic hepatitis B virus in human cells. Thus stops the hepatitis B and HIV virus from producing new viruses.
Dosage:
- The usual dose in adults for HIV infection is about 300 mg, to be taken orally once daily. Hepbest Tablet is to be taken with food.
Warnings and Precautions:
- Not recommended during pregnancy, breastfeeding. No alcohol consumption during this medication.
Side effects:
- Side effects are gas, headache, reduced appetite, back pain, vomiting, fatigue, weight loss, fever, depression, chest pain, swelling, nausea and stomach pain. If the allergic reactions persist or become severe over time seek medical attention right away.
