- Doxotero Injection is an anti-cancer medication. It works by suppressing the activity of an enzyme (topoisomerase II) involved in DNA multiplication of the cancer cells. It also forms harmful chemicals (free radicals) which cause DNA damage. This slows the growth of cancer cells and eventually kills them.

What are things you need to know before taking this medicine?
- Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart problems or low production of blood cells from the bone marrow. You may need to perform blood count, heart/kidney/liver function tests before therapy. This therapy may cause damage to heart muscle or heart failure, the risk is more if radiation was used as treatment before for upper body.

- Aprepitant is used with other medications to prevent nausea and vomiting that may occur within 24 hours after receiving cancer chemotherapy treatment. - Either animal-reproduction studies have not demonstrated a foetal risk but there are no controlled studies in pregnant women or animal-reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect (other than a decrease in fertility) that was not confirmed in controlled studies in women in the 1st trimester (and there is no evidence of a risk in later trimesters).
