Leukaemia is a cancer of white blood cells. These white cells usually help the body to fight infection. Sprycel slow down the growth of these leukaemic cells. It is also helps to treat Philadelphia chromosome positive (Ph+)  and acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) in adults, adolescents and children at least 1 year of age.

• Take this medicine on a fixed time as prescribed by the doctor.Sprcycel can be taken with or without food either in evening or in the morning.Do not crush, cut or chew tablets. Swallow tablets as a whole. 

• This medicine is unsafe during preganancy.  Preganant women should not take this medicine or breathe the dust from the tablets because it is harmful for child and the mother both. Do not drive while taking this medicine because this medicine can cause blurred vision and dizziness.

• Tell your doctor immediately if you have any serious side effects like  dry cough, swelling/pain in the hands or feet and unnecessary weight gain.

• Bendamustine is used for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia. It is also used to treat indolent B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. 

• Bendamustine is given as an infusion into a vein. Bendamustine is usually given for 2 days in a row every 21 to 28 days. 

• This injection is not recommended for pregnant women as it can harm the unborn baby.
• Do not receive any kind of vaccination while taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.
• Do not breast feed while taking this medicine.

• Side effects of Leuben include increase in bilirubin levels, infusion reaction (chills, fever, itching, rash), fever, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, diarrhea, rash and low blood counts. 
• A rare but serious side effect is Tumor lysis syndrome which may occur as a result of leukemia treatment including treatment with Bendamustine.
