• Tykerb is used for the treatment of patients with advanced or metastatic breast cancer that is HER-2 positive. It is designed to inhibit HER2 (a type pf protein found in normal and cancer cells) receptors. It  works inside cancer cells to block HER2 receptors

• Take Tykerb exactly as prescribed by your doctor.It should be taken at least one hour before, or at least one hour after food. 

• Tykerb acts with many common medications. Be sure to notify your doctor before starting any new medications.
• This medicine is not recommended for pregnant women as it can harn the unborn baby.
• Do not recieve any type of vaccinations while taking this medicine.                                                                                                           
• 4) Do not breast feed while taking this medicine.

• Side effects of Tykerb include indigestion, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, itching, dry skin, pain or redness on the palms of your hands or the soles of your feet, fatigue, nosebleeds, mouth sores and headache.
